Empowering Equity Academy (EEA) 2026
The Empowering Equity Academy is a first-of-its-kind programme that provides a structured bridge between STEM/sustainability studies and the European investment ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on venture capital, private equity, private credit and infrastructure investing. The objective is to help students see how their technical skills can translate into careers in the investment ecosystem. Europe’s investment industry increasingly needs STEM and sustainability profiles, yet diversity and inclusion remain limited, especially for women and underrepresented groups.
The Academy welcomes motivated STEM and sustainability students from across Europe for a blended learning experience that links their studies to the investment world.
The 2026 EEA programme combines:
- 5 half days online to learn about the EIB Group and EIF, the principles of finance, and investment in venture capital, private equity and impact strategies, directly with investment professionals
- 4 full days of workshops and case study onsite, in Luxembourg, plus attendance at the half day Empowering Equity event, where students can connect with investment professionals from the EIF and deepen their understanding of EIF's social impact.
