BEFORE THE INTERNSHIP

Select the place of internship by using the offer of internship published in the Career Service website or other sources of job offers.
2nd step…
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: all formalities related to crediting internships are performed by the Educational Support.

4th step…

AFTER THE INTERNSHIP

Submit to the Educational Support a report on the internship (appendix no. 4) signed by the Organiser of the internship.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Internship can be undergone by students who graduated from the first year of first cycle degree studies and students who graduated from the first semester of second cycle degree studies.
Internship can be obligatory or voluntary.
A student of bachelor studies is obliged to undergo an internship for which they obtain 3 ECTS points. The internship should last at least 3 weeks.
As part of the credit pool for elective courses, a student of master cycle degree studies may complete an internship and obtain 3 ECTS credits for it. Students majoring in Project Management, International Business and Finance and Accounting, practical profile II degree undergo an obligatory internship.
Students of Finance and Accounting, practical profile must complete a 3-months internship (min 360 h, 12 ECTS credits). The Internship may be held in two parts or in one 3-months part. Students should complete the internship before the end of 4th semester. Please be informed that insurance for this field of study also lasts for 3 months.
The content of the internship should correspond to the profile of student’s education at SGH. Internships can be completed either in Poland or in another country.
The course of the internship should match the educational profile at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
The internship is conducted on the grounds of a tripartite agreement concluded between the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the student and the enterprise or the institution accepting the student.
Professional work, internship, voluntary work or internship undergone on the grounds of a bilateral contract concluded between the student and the Organiser compliant with the educational profile can be treated as completing the internship.
Each student undergoing the internship abroad registers the trip at the SGH International Centre on the grounds of an application – referral to a trip abroad and signs the internship contract.
For the period of undergoing the internship the student is insured and receives the PAC. The insurance period covers 21 calendar days.
The internship is credited by the dean of the relevant programme by granting the number of ECTS points specified in the curriculum and the plan of studies binding for the student and available on the Virtual Dean’s Office.
